General
Meeting - April 4, 2006
In the absence of President Keith Thorson, the April
4, 2006 General Meeting of the Trans Am Club of America,
Golden State Chapter, was called to order by Vice President
Terry Trimble at 7:03 PM at Reliable Pontiac-Cadillac
in Roseville.
There was more discussion regarding Club jackets. Irene
brought in a sample jacket from Special "T"s. Everyone
seemed to like them pretty well and the color and price
were right. There will be more discussion and looking
further into cost, etc., before a final discussion is
made.
The Treasurer's Report was provided by J.O. Raff and
was approved as read.
Old
Business: Past Events;
Ted Bechtel gave a report on the Capital City Air Show
that was attended by the Club on Saturday, March 18th.
According to all those that attended, the show was spectacular.
Aerial demonstrations by the Blue Angles, old war birds,
Cargo planes, a static display of military as well as
civilian aircraft and even cars, including a new GTO,
drew literally thousands of people. Perhaps because
of poor planning and all those people, there were some
drawbacks such as heavy traffic, lack of parking, long
lines for both snacks (overpriced) and portapotties,
however, everyone survived.
New
Business: Upcoming Events;
Remember the Chili Cook-off at the Raff's on Sunday,
April 23rd.
