July 2006, Volume 9, Issue 8

General Meeting - August 1, 2006
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM by President Keith Thorson.

Visitor Robert Holland, formerly of Atlanta, GA and now a resident of Elk Grove, introduced himself. He owns a 1995 Trans Am. His immediate concern is a passing California SMOG standards for his car and is trying to find a Dyno.

Secretary's Minutes for the July 11, 2006 meeting were approved as printed in the Trans Script.

The Treasurer's Report for July 2006 was read by Treas. J.O. Raff and approved as read.

Old Business: Past Events;
Activities Director Ted Bechtel reported on the July 15th Pool Party at the Raff's. The day was hot, the pool water was warm, the food was filling and everyone present had a good time. There was no other Old Business to address.

Old Business: Past Events;
Under the heading of New Business, Ted gave information on Upcoming Events, see Upcoming Events shown below.

Dave Gershon reported on the July POCI Nationals in Ontario, CA. The Nationals, open to Pontiacs and GMC Trucks, had not been in California since 1993. He explained the difference in Point Scoring and the Standard Show. Three of the winners in the Standard Show, Parrish Falk and Russ Horning with Gold awards and Jim Mandas with a Silver all attended our 2004 Transarama! Our old friend and sponsor, Ken Croce was there also. Dave also presented some awesome pictures.

With business completed, the meeting was adjourned at 8:46 PM after being moved by Ted Bechtel .

Respectfully Submitted; Irene Raff, Secretary.
