General
Meeting - February 7, 2006
The meeting of the Trans Am Club of America, Golden
State Chapter was called to order at 7:08 PM by President
Keith Thorson.
Welcome New Members: Barry LaFond introduced himself.
He is the proud owner of a beautiful 2001 Blue Firebird
with LS1, 6 speed manual, T-Tops, several special modifications
including cam, headers, lower control arms, high flow
cats, cat back exhaust, subframe connectors, etc. He
is also proud of his wife, Kim.
J.O. Raff, Treasurer, corrected the December 2005 Accounting
and Checkbook Balance as of 12/31/05 to read $3,853.70
instead of $3,853.37 as printed in the previous Trans
Script and presented the Treasurer's Report for January
2006.
Ted Bechtel, Activities Director, reported on Old Events,
including NFL Division Playoffs on 1/22/06. Carrow's
Restaurant has been closed so we have lost our meeting
place. We have returned to Reliable Pontiac-Cadillac
in the Roseville Auto Mall while a restaurant type location
is researched.

except for Jimboy's Tacos Car Shows beginning in May,
All Pontiac Car Show sponsored by GTO Club for August

at the Hungry Hunter Restaurant, Sacramento, on December

Club jackets were discussed again. Keith will be bringing
samples to upcoming events. Only five jackets have been
prepaid, three more are desired and it was recommended,
but not decided, that the Club pick up two more to make
the ten minimum order.

POCI Regionals. Ted Klein and Dave Gershon tied for
a 3rd.
