Meeting - February 10, 2011
The February 10th, 2011, General Membership Meeting
of the Trans Am Club of America, Golden State Chapter
was called to order by Vice-Pres. Ted Bechtel at 7:40
PM. Other members present were Jim Nakata, J.O. &
Irene Raff, Dennis &Terry Trimble, Frank & Michelle
Brown and Robert & Fay Holland.
The January TransScript was approved as printed however
the insert for our TACA Christmas Party, Dated Dec.
4th, contained Keith Thorson’s name incorrectly
spelled. That document has been revised and approved.
The Treasurer’s Report was approved as provided
by Treas. J.O. Raff.
Old
Business: Past Events;
Our visit to Fresh Choice on January 15th. was discussed.
Frank and Michelle, Dennis and Terry, Ted, J.O. &
Irene, and Robert & Fay enjoyed the Fresh Choice
Buffet.
The Super Bowl game and Ads on the Raff’s big
screen, February 6th, were enjoyed by Robert & Fay,
Frank & Michelle, Ted, Jim, Keith and Dennis. Everyone
brought a pot-luck offering and along with three pizzas
from Papa Murphy’s, there was more than enough
to eat. Keith was a little tardy in making up the tally
sheet and we missed betting on the first quarter but
Robert, Jim and Fay were happy with their winnings on
the other three quarters.
New
Business: Upcoming Events;
Valentine’s Brunch is scheduled at the Thunder
Valley Casino Feast Buffet on February 12th.
Our Dive Check lunch location will be decided at our
Caravan Meeting Point on February 26th.
On April 30th, the San Joaquin River Club Spring Fling
is open to all cars. There is a $15.00 early entry fee
and $20.00 on the day of the show. We will decide on
this run either during the March or April meeting.
The Good Guys Pleasanton Car Show will be held March
26/27th.
Robert will be checking on the Trans Am Graffiti run
and Ted will be checking on the Dixon May Faire Parade
on May 6th. Ted will also check on a location, perhaps
Brookfield’s at Madison and Hwy. 80, for our Christmas
Party.
Frank Brown moved that the meeting be adjourned at 8:03
PM. Dennis objected but we adjourned anyway

Watt Avenue, Sacramento, California at 7:00 P.M. every
second Thursday of the month. Anyone with an interest

Heights, CA. Bring Chili, Stew, Soup, Beans, and your
own brew—whatever! Keith plans on bringing the
dessert and the Club will provide Salad, Chips and Dips
and Soft Drinks.

DAY BRUNCH - 2/12/2011
Meet at 1:00 PM, We will meet at the Thunder Valley
Casino Feast Buffet for Valentine’s Day Brunch.
Brunch is served from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and the price
is $10.95 for adults.
DIVE
CHECK - 2/26/2011
Meet at the Levitz Parking Lot on Watt Avenue in North
Highlands at 12:30 PM and we will leave at 1:00 PM in
caravan. The plan is to visit either Cricket’s
Country Kitchen at 4745 Auburn Blvd, Carmichael or Willie’s
Hamburgers, 5050 Arden Way, Carmichael (Corner Arden
Way and Fair Oaks Blvd). We will decide then.
