General Meeting - July 5, 2005

The meeting was called to order at 7:05 PM by Sgt. At Arms, J.J. Apilado and President Keith Thorson was introduced.

Guests Ryan Smith, owner of a 1999 Red Trans Am and David Rego, owner of a 2000 White Formula, were introduced. Both expressed an interest in joining the Club. Application forms are to be sent to them by the Secretary

Secretary's Minutes for the month of June were dispensed with because no minutes were taken in the absence of the Secretary.

Treasurer's Reports for the month of May was corrected and revised by Treasurer J. O. Raff. June report was present and both were approved as read. Copies of both reports are printed on page 2 of this newsletter.

Old Business:
Leo reported on events during June. The Jimboy"s Car Show in Loomis on June 11 attracted 11 cars. The Towe Auto Museum Show on June 18 was attended by Terry, Dennis and Leo with Leo winning a drawing for dinner for 2 and Terry winning some waterless carwash. Around 50 cars attended altogether. The Hellsgate Excursion June 25 was cancelled.

New Business:
As indicated in Upcoming Events, the Jimboy's Car Show will be July 9th. The band starts to play at 7:00 PM but get there around 4:00 PM to get a place. July 16th will be the Rivercats Vs. Colorado. TACA GSC will be recognized on the field scoreboards. The Gilroy Garlic Festival is scheduled for July 30th. August 19th, NORCAL GTO Club will be hosting an All Pontiac Car Show. Leo has a letter requesting commitment from our Club. It is possible that our August meeting will be held at the Day's Inn Motel, I80 and Watt Avenue, North Highlands, for a photo shoot and meeting in their Banquet Room. Further info to follow. It was announced that California General Tire does an Auto Cross monthly. We need to check it out.

Frank Brown moved to Adjourn the meeting at 7:44 PM but J.J. had an announcement that Folsom Pontiac will provide a 25% parts discount. Just show your card.

Dennis Trimble moved to Adjourn the meeting at 7:50 PM and John Bonner seconded.
