General Meeting - June 6, 2007

The meeting was called to order at 7:10 PM by Keith Thorson, President.

Visitors Ingvar Carlson, owner of a 1986 White Trans Am and Jack Frediani, owner of a 1994 25th Anniversary Daytona 500 Pace Car Trans Am were introduced. Ingvar read about our meeting in the Bee and was provided with a membership application. OOPS — Jack Frediani is a MEMBER! He joined in June 2006 but since he lives in Sonora, this has been his first opportunity to attend a meeting!

The Minutes from the May meeting were corrected to refer to notification of Car Shows and other events to read as shown in Upcoming Events.

J.O. gave the Treasurer’s Report and it was accepted as read.

Old Business: Past Events;

Dennis Trimble took a Trophy for “Pouncing Pontiac” at the Elk Grove H.S. Car Show on May 19th. They had more trophies than winners but “Good Show” anyway! Our three cars were lost among the “hundreds” at “Thunder in Depot Park” in Rio Linda on May 26th. and we were represented at Mario’s Classic/Modern Car Show on May 6th. by three cars as well.

New Business: Upcoming Events;

We discussed having a Car Show/Potluck Picnic at Howe Park, Saturday, July 7th. Persons with names starting with A-H will bring Salads; I-P, bring Drinks and Q-Z bring desserts. Bring your own meat for BBQ and Keith will provide a gas grill. Final arrangements will be discussed at the Membership Meeting on THURSDAY, JULY 5th. Since our regularly scheduled meeting is Wednesday, July 4th, the meeting was rescheduled for Thursday, July 5th.

A location for our Annual Business Meeting & Christmas Party was discussed momentarily. J.O. and Irene are to check for a location for 1, 8 or 15 December.

The Towe Museum Christmas Tree Decorating Party will be on Saturday, November 25, 2007. A TACA Car Display at the Towe is not scheduled until August 2008.

Terry Trimble mentioned a Car Show on July 14th, 9:00 AM—2:00 PM for all model year vehicles at The Elks Lodge, 6465 Riverside Blvd., Sacramento. The 8th Sacramento Classic Auto Show to benefit Guide Dogs of America will be held on Sept. 15th at Hagan Park in Rancho Cordova. (See Upcoming Events.)

Jackets are still pending. The back Logo has been redigitized to include a Third Gen. Bird and the front Logo still needs to be digitized. The cost has increased $10.00 per jacket but will be absorbed by the Club as set-up fee.

We have received our Membership Renewal Notice from the ACCC and J.O. was instructed to renew it.

Irene moved to adjourn and Keith seconded. (Is that according to Hoyle?) The meeting was adjourned at 8:15 PM.

Club Meetings will be held at Denny's Restaurant, 3520 Auburn Blvd, Sacramento, CA at 7:00 PM on the first Wednesday of each month. Anyone with an interest in the Pontiac Firebird, Trans Am, Formula or Firehawk is welcome to attend.
