General Meeting - March 7, 2007

The meeting was called to order at 7:11 PM by Keith Thorson, President.

The Secretary's Minutes were approved as printed in the February TransScript and the Treasurer's Report was given by J.O. Raff and approved as read. J.O. advised that although there have been no expenses for two months, there will be significant expenses to report in the March Report. (Jackets, supplies, etc.).

Old Business: Past Events;

There was discussion about our trip to Thunder Valley Casino for our Valentine's Brunch. We had a good turn-out and the food was very good. After the brunch some of the members sampled the other entertainments available.

After more Club jacket discussion, the Black on Black, Port Authority Competitor Jacket was agreed upon. The jackets would be ordered and would be screen-printed with a Club Logo on the left chest and on the back in single color, Metallic Gold. Jacket cost will be $55.00 each. It is hoped that they will be available for the April meeting.

New Business: Upcoming Events;

The annual Chili Cook-off will be at J.O. and Irene Raffs on March 11th. See "Upcoming Events" for time and directions.

There was some discussion about a "Bowling Sunday" event for the future. Jimboy Tacos Car Show in Loomis will be Saturday, April 10 and the Central Valley Classic Car Show, open to all Pontiac-Olds-Buick-Cadillac and GMC Trucks will be held in Madera, Saturday April 28th. Applications were passed out .

J.O. passed a card that J.J. Apilado had sent to the Club in gratitude for the Get-Well Card the Club sent him.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 PM after the motion by Frank Brown and second by Dennis Trimble.

Club Meetings will be held at Denny's Restaurant, 3520 Auburn Blvd, Sacramento, CA at 7:00 PM on the first Wednesday of each month. Anyone with an interest in the Pontiac Firebird, Trans Am, Formula or Firehawk is welcome to attend.

2:00 PM 'till the Chili is all gone!
There will be awards for "Hottest", "Best Red", "Best Green", "Wimpiest", "Peoples Choice" and "Participant". The Club will furnish the bowls, spoons, soft drinks, crackers, cheese, Tortillas, Chips, Salsa, Salad and Pizza for the kids. Bring your pot, a serving utensil and an extension cord.
