General Meeting - April 1, 2009

The April 1st, 2009 General Membership Meeting was called to order at 7:03 PM by President Keith Thorson. Other members present were Ted Bechtel, Dennis and Terry Trimble, Jim Nakata, J.O. Raff and Robert Holland.

The March Secretary's Minutes were approved as printed in the Trans Script except for and error indicating our Picnic/Potluck would be held May 11th. The correct date is April 18th as shown in the Upcoming Events. J.O.

Raff presented the March, 2009 Treasurer’s Report which was approved as read.

Old Business: Past Events;

Activity Director Terry Trimble reported that the Valentine's Brunch (Lunch), held February 15th at the Thunder Valley Casino Feast Buffet presented both good fellowship and good food.

New Business: Upcoming Events;

The St. Patrick's Day lunch will be held as planned in the Red Hawk Casino located in Shingle Springs. (See Upcoming Events).

Saturday, May 11th we will have a Picnic/Potluck at 12:00 PM in the park located off Elk Horn Blvd. and Diablo. We will decide on food assignments at the April 1 General Membership Meeting.

Thunder in Depot Park will occur on May 23rd. We will meet Keith at the McDonalds Restaurant in Rio Linda at the corner of Rio Linda and Elkhorn Boulevards at 7:30 AM.

Tentatively, in June, we will visit the Miramont Estate Vineyards located in Linden, CA. and have a Show and Shine at the Fudruckers Restaurant in Citrus Heights, CA. in September.

Frank Brown moved to eliminate the message board on our Web Site because of recent difficulty. Dennis Trimble 2nd. Robert Holland and Ted Bechtel offered their assistance in updating the Web Site if Web Site Director Jim Prinzivalli needs help. Ted Bechtel plans to email Jim. Pictures of members cars are needed to upgrade the Web Site. Bring them to the April Membership Meeting or email them to Ted Bechtel.

Ted Bechtel recommended that members look for a different restaurant to hold our meetings. He reported that our present restaurant was becoming indifferent to our business.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:59 PM after a motion by Frank Brown and 2nd by Ted Bechtel.

Club Meetings will be held at Denny's Restaurant, 3520 Auburn Blvd, Sacramento, CA at 7:00 PM on the first Wednesday of each month. Anyone with an interest in the Pontiac Firebird, Trans Am, Formula or Firehawk is welcome to attend.
