2009, Volume 12, Issue 10
General
Meeting - October 7, 2009
The meeting was called to order at 7:25 PM by Pres.
Keith Thorson.
The meeting was attended by Keith, Ted Bechtel, Dennis
and Terry Trimble, Robert and Fay Holland, J.O. and
Irene Raff. Visitors Jake Credut and Deanne Moura were
introduced. Jake is a Senior at UC Davis, originally
from Frazier Park, CA and owns a '77 SE, 2 '79 TAs and
a '79 Firebird-all of them, works in progress. He was
given a Membership Application. Deanne is a friend of
Fay Holland, really desperate for excitement if she
came to our meeting!
The TransScript was approved as printed and J.O. gave
the Treasurer's Report which was approved as presented.
There was discussion about moving our Meeting Place
with suggestions made for Mel's Diner, Baja Fresh, Roundtable
and Sizzler. Mel's Diner was selected to be used beginning
in January 2010. Mel's has a back-room and is located
near Howe and Fair Oaks Blvd. We will stay at Coco's
for November and our December meeting will be at The
Station Restaurant.
Old
Business: Past Events;
The had been no attendance at scheduled September events.
New
Business: Upcoming Events;
Apple Hill run is scheduled for Oct. 10 and the Chili
Cook-Off is scheduled for Saturday, October 17th at
the Raff's, (See Upcoming Events).
For November, Bowling at Crestview Lanes is set up for
Nov. 15th. (See Upcoming Events).
Keith plans to check with the Towe Museum for Christmas
Tree decorating in December. It was discussed that our
Christmas Tree was thrown out or mixed with others and
we have no tree. Our decorations are supposed to be
stored at the Towe but Ted Bechtel recommended that
every member create an ornament utilizing Picture Ornaments
from Walmart with pictures of their cars. Also, if the
event is scheduled, bring old ornaments. There was no
further discussion about a new tree.
Keith opened business concerning Officer Elections for
2010. Dennis Trimble recommended that the current slate
of Officers remain but Terry Trimble declined another
year as Activities Director. There was no volunteer
for that office. Ballots will be sent out in accordance
with the Club By Laws, however, the choices will be
slightly restricted and a write-in is suggested for
Activities Director or any of the other positions as
well.
Ted Bechtel moved that the meeting be adjourned at 7:57

Respectfully Submitted: Irene Raff, Secretary.
