General Meeting - September 7th, 2004

The meeting was called to order at 7:05 PM by Vice President Leo Brown.

Treasurer J. O. Raff announced that there had been minor errors in the Secretaries minutes in the August Trans Scrip and that there had been three partial mailings. The third mailing is correct. If anyone in the first two-thirds of the Club Roster recognizes the typo's, please call for an explanation.

The Treasurer's report was given and approved as read.

Duane Cleveland and Teresa Roberts introduced themselves. Duane is a past member of the club. They now own two Trans Ams, a 2001 white WS6 and a 2002 Collectors Edition. Duane and Teresa have signed up and are our newest members!

Hot Antioch Nights - 8/7/04:
Was attended by Terry, Dennis and Leo.

Roseville Car Show - 8/10/04:
Was attended by Keith, Leo, Dave, Terry, Dennis and Dale. They had a fun time.

Jim Boy's Tacos Car Show - 8/14/04:
Was attended by 7 cars but closed up early because the band had another event to attend.

Placerville Races - 8/21/04:
Was attended by Keith, Duane, Terry and Dennis.

Placerville Car Show - 9/5/04:
Was attended by Dennis and Terry. There were lots of cars including the Camaro Club.

New Business:
Terry reported that "Hot August Nights" would be this coming weekend. She was leaving early and would be in the Sparks area primarily.

POCI Western Regionals - 9/17-19:
Entries are still open.

Kragen Toys for Tots Car Show - 10/30/04:

Hot Chili, Cool Cars Show - 9/25/04:
Gary announced there will be a Hot Chili, Cool Cars Show in Rocklin. Call him for info.

Dave Gershon announced that Top Gun next year will be White Cars Only (???) and if you want to play, you will need to beat Ted running "9".

Also: Dave announced that AB2683 is on the Gov's desk for signature. We have only until the end of September to contact the Gov. and ask him to veto it. Nomination of officers for 2005 will be during the October meeting. Ballots will be mailed in time for the November meeting.

Anyone interested in an officer position, notify J.O. Our 2005 goal will be to stress participation at events. A Participation Award is being considered. The Club President and Activities Director are ineligible.

The Children's Receiving Home needs donations. Members please bring a contribution to the October meeting. It was recommended that the By-Laws be amended to name the Children's Receiving Home instead of the United Way as our beneficiary in case the club folds.

Remember Autorama February 4,5 & 6. Think about entering your car.

It was announced that Charlene Thompson's mother passed away and that the Club had sent a card.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:46PM.
