General Meeting - September 2, 2009

The meeting was called to order at 7:25 PM by Pres. Keith Thorson.

Member present were Keith Thorson, Robert and Fay Holland, J.O. and Irene Raff, Frank Brown and Ted Bechtel.

Old Business: Past Events;

The TranScript was approved as printed and the Treasurer’s Report was approved as present by Treasurer, J.O. Raff.

Our Pizza Night at Pasquale’s Italian Pizza was well attended on Aug. 20th and the pizza was good. If we go for pizza again, we need a place where Terry can eat.

New Business: Upcoming Events;

Robert mentioned the Sac F Body Leukemia Run on 9/26.

Keith and Robert received information from Beverly’s and Keith will check with Beverly’s concerning a Club Run for Toys.

Apple Hill is scheduled for Oct. 10 and the destination will be High Hill Ranch. (See Upcoming Events).

The Chili Cook-Off will be Oct. 17, 1:00 PM. Discussion favored only a People’s Choice Award. Everyone else will simply be “losers”. (See Upcoming Events). The Camaro Club Show will be 9/27. (See Upcoming Events).

Having completed what little business we had, there was discussion concerning the acceptability of Coco’s Restaurant. J.O. complained about the cost of his and Irene’s meal but did not object to Irene having two (2) Strawberry Shakes and that the helpings were generous! Keith remembered seeing something about ‘cheap’ dinner specials but they were not available for this evening. It was decided that we will plan on Coco’s again for the October Meeting since although we were not in a private room, the dining room was not crowded or noisy and the food was very good.

Frank Brown moved and Ted Bechtel seconded that the meeting be adjourned at 8:06 PM.

Club Meetings will be held at Coco's Restaurant, 1830 Arden Way, Sacramento, CA at 7:00 PM on the first Wednesday of each month. Anyone with an interest in the Pontiac Firebird, Trans Am, Formula or Firehawk is welcome to attend.
