Great News: the TACA,GSC messageboard is up.

The Trans Am Club of America, Golden State Chapter Inc., holds it's meetings on the first Wednesday of the month at 7:00 pm at our new meeting location at Denny's Restaurant at 3520 Auburn Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95821. This is on the corner of Watt and Auburn, just south of Business 80. Anyone with an interest in the Pontiac Firebird/ Trans Am is welcome to attend. This will be the permanent location for our monthly meetings from this point forward on the first Wednesdayy of every month. For those of you planning on attending the Elk Grove Car Show On May 20th, Dennis would like everyone to meet at the Light Rail station at Watt Avenue and Folsom Blvd. at 8:00am and leave at 8:30 am. The show starts at 9:00am at Elk Grove High School 9800 ELk Grove-Florin Road, with a $25.00 entrance fee. Good luck to everyone!

June 3rd: Beale Air Show - meet at Levitz at 7:00am, leave at 7:30 am, show is 9:00am - 5:00pm

July 15th: Pot Luck pool party at JO and Irene Raffs. Bring your own meat, the pot luck will be side dishes. Time is 11:00am till 5:00pm

August 19th: Ihop Car show in Yuba City. Meet at levitz at 2:00 pmand leave at 2:30pm.

The lunch at Sonic's in woodland has been canceled. TACA members expressed they would much prefer to attend a car shoe in Elk Grove. We will post tre meeting time and place of the show sometime to morrow as soon as we get the info from our activities director. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused but the lunch at Sonic's will be rescheduled for another later date.

2 - 20 - 2006:
It is with sad regret that we have to announce the passing of one of our former club members. Many of you might have known Rudy Lopez from the early Transaramas which ran through the early 90's. Rudy lived in Southern California and was known by many for his beautiful 1978 Red Fire Am. Rudy's car graced many magazine covers and made it into a few comercials. Rudy was a true Trans Am Enthusiast and will be missed.

Valentine's Brunch: On Sunday February 19th The Trans Am Club Golden State Chapter Inc. will hold it's annual Valentines Brunch. This year it will be at the Feast Buffet at Thunder Valley Casino in Roseville. We will meet at the Levitz parking lot 4741 Watt Avenue at 10:00 am and leave there at 10:30 am to caravan to the casino. The cost for adults is $16.99 per person with children 5-11 years old being $11.99. 5 - 10 - 2005:
We recently returned from the Santa Cruz Boardwalk run and I am happy to report we all had a great time. Five 4th generation Trans Ams participated on the run and we hooked up with Dante and his Vette in Milpitas. In attendance were Julie Haddick and daughter, Leo, Kevin, Jim and his son Gio and daughter Gabby, and Terry with her granddaughter Sarah. We actually did not get to Santa Cruz until about 2:30 because we had to meet with several of the members on the way there. Most of us left at random times to head on home and rain was never a factor until I encountered some drizzle on the way home. It was a pleasure to meet new member Kevin whom I think will be a gung ho and enthusiastic new member of TACA, GSC.

The Californa Show and Shine Car Show at California Burger has been moved up to Saturday, May 14. The show time is still 4:00 P.M and California Burger is located on 8537 Auburn Blvd.

4 - 19 - 2005:
The club would like to welcome our newest member Kevin Fanady and his black 2001 WS6 Trans Am. Cool, yet another 4 th generation Trans Am added to our members rides section.

In addition the rest of the 2005 Events Calender page has been updated. Check it out and attend the events, the club is only as good as the members participation in the club events.

4 - 13 - 2005:
The event calender has been updated with the next several months worth of activities. Some events require a head count and a deposit ahead of the scheduled event in order to book the event. Please do your part and sign up for these events to make them successful as well as to lock the event in place. Within a couple of days, I will have the remaining events for 2005 and part of 2006 updated on the events page.

4 - 1 - 2005:
We have had a problem with our Message Board, actually it was a major problem! The TACA, GSC message board was hacked on March 30th and 31st. Apperently the hacker exploited a flaw in the security of the message board data base and changed the moderator password (my password) and locked me out and put the message board offline with a message saying it was hacked by so and so. Just wonderful! Anyhow, since the software was free there was no free upgrade to patch the hole to prevent any further abuse by hackers, and as a result I had my brother in law migrate all the data to different software. All the user passwords should work. The only difference is the different appearance of the message board. On behalf of TACA, GSC, I apologize for any problems this incident may have caused.

3 - 1- 2005:
It seems the club has forgotten to welcome some new members to the club. Robert Olsen and Linda Olsen joined the club last September of 2004 after we met them at the POCI Regionals in Reno, Neveda. Rob and Linda own a car that my 14 year old son Giovanni wants for his his first car. The car happens to be a 2002 "Collectors Edition" convertible. For those who are unaware, the 2002 "Collectors Editions" were the "last of the breed" in regards to 2002 being the last year of Firebird and Camaro production. The "Collectors Editions" were painted yellow with black rims, a black rear bumper and in the case of the hard tops, a black roof. On behalf of TACA we would like to welcome Robert and Linda Olsen and their "2002 Coolectors Edition" converible.

The Valentines Brunch run to Cache Creek Indian Casino is set for February 13, 2005 which is this Sunday. We will meet at Levitz Furniture on 4741 Watt. Ave Sacramento Ca. at 8:30 am. and depart at 9:00a.m. Brunch will consist of a buffet at $16.99 for adults, $9.99 for children 4-14, and children under 4 eat for free.
